Day Twelve - The Because of Your Boldness

I spent my Friday and Saturday with a really close friend in New Jersey speaking with her women, as she gathered hundreds of them for a one day event. It was stunning. There is nothing better than doing that with a friend too because there is such great chemistry, and the girls we are ministering to also know how safe this friendship is, so they really lean in.

I spoke this boldness revelation to them because it is just so fresh in me right now. Then in the afternoon we had a couch conversation about our soul realm, what is truth, core values, mental health and much more.

Before the end of these 40 days I will see if i can connect the recording to one of these emails for you, because I felt like it was really important.

Then last night I gathered some of the young adult girls of my House for 'girl chats'. We discussed how do you stay strong and resilient in the face of challenges in our workplaces. Challenges where they face very real core value conflict, navigating ethics, loving those you do not necessarily agree with etc.

There was one moment when I said to this gorgeous, intelligent, faith-filled girl .. take all of who you have been designed to be and boldly plant your feet in that place, fully YOU! Spiritual gifts, unique design, values you hold dear, faith that matters so deeply to you.. all of who you are ... and just show up! Just your presence alone and you actively living and leading and loving within your grace zone will show people who God really is.

That is what I think makes you stand out well and carry kingdom effectiveness. Be you. Know your because. If you walk away, who will put their feet into that territory? Your presence matters.

That is what this journey has been doing for me. It is helping me re-clarify again my 'because' for my whole life. My 'why'. My passion points and even what I know I am good at. I love helping people see their life as an integrated whole. Connecting spirit, soul and body. Helping people find freedom. It makes me come alive, and I believe it makes a difference in other people's lives.

We walk with a different boldness when we know our 'because'

I love what these daughters of Z in Numbers were standing for

- inheritance

- legacy

- renaming

- generational blessing

- advocating on behalf of women

- setting up families to receive what is rightfully theirs.

- On both a micro level and a macro level

‘I am convinced that…inside all of us is this longing to live the life that we can imagine only in our dreams…that inside of us even when we have settled into a routine & have surrendered ourselves to the monotony…..there is still this voice that says ‘there has got to be more to life than this’……‘ all of us are chasing daylight….we know that the sun is setting, that the hours are ticking & there will be a moment where we can no longer make a difference in this world’ ...... Erwin McManus

Isaiah 61 is my signature scripture over my life.

‘The Spirit of the Lord, the Eternal, is on me.
The Lord has appointed me for a special purpose.
He has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to repair broken hearts,
And to declare to those who are held captive and bound in prison,
“Be free from your imprisonment!”. He has sent me to announce the year of jubilee, the season of the Eternal’s favor..’

(Read all of Isaiah 61 in the Voice paraphrase ... so worth it!)

This scripture paints a picture of what happens when we let the Spirit of God rest upon us, within us and through us …

- People will become strong, magnificent & free

- God will be made famous

- Broken lives will be rebuilt

- His Church will become glorified

- People will become prosperous

- Generations will be impacted

There is both a personal difference you can make, and that in turn directly affects big picture challenges upon the earth. Do not think that it doesn't. Like we said yesterday. It is never just about you.

What scripture encapsulates your ‘because’? Do you have one? I would love to be inspired by it. Share it in the comments below with us today.
