Day Eight - The Weapon of your 'Why'

I lead people and life coach people everyday. I notice so often when I ask my clients to fill out an intake form, that the most difficult question they have to answer on my form is ... what are your strengths and where do you make the most effective difference in people’s lives?

They struggle to share their strengths or their gifts, or what makes them most unique.

I want to encourage you to take all of who you have been designed to be and boldly plant your feet in the places God has asked you to show up, fully YOU! Spiritual gifts, unique design, values you hold dear, faith that matters so deeply to you.. all of who you are ... and just show up! Just your presence alone and you actively living, leading and loving within your grace zone will show people who God really is.

Galatians 6:4-5 Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life

That is what I think makes you stand out well and carry kingdom effectiveness. Be you. Know your because. If you walk away, who will put their feet into that territory? Your presence matters.

That is what this journey has been doing for me. It is helping me re-clarify again my 'because' for my whole life. My 'why'. My passion points and even what I know I am good at. I love helping people see their life as an integrated whole. Connecting spirit, soul and body. Helping people find freedom. It makes me come alive, and I believe it makes a difference in other people's lives.

We walk with a different boldness when we know our 'because'

I love what these daughters of Z in Numbers were standing for

- inheritance

- legacy

- renaming

- generational blessing

- advocating on behalf of women

- setting up families to receive what is rightfully theirs.

- On both a micro level and a macro level

They had a 'why' for their boldness.

Isaiah 61 is my signature scripture over my life.

‘The Spirit of the Lord, the Eternal, is on me.
The Lord has appointed me for a special purpose.
He has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to repair broken hearts,
And to declare to those who are held captive and bound in prison,
“Be free from your imprisonment!”. He has sent me to announce the year of jubilee, the season of the Eternal’s favor..’

(Read all of Isaiah 61 in the Voice paraphrase ... so worth it!)

This scripture paints a picture of what happens when we let the Spirit of God rest upon us, within us and through us …

- People will become strong, magnificent & free

- God will be made famous

- Broken lives will be rebuilt

- His Church will become glorified

- People will become prosperous

- Generations will be impacted

Your 'why' will have a sense of the micro (personal) difference you can make, and that in turn directly affects big picture challenges upon the earth (macro), whether you know it or not. Do not think that it doesn't. It is never just about you.

Your 'why' will suit your unique design. It always does. It is what the Lord was thinking when He created you in your mother's womb a certain way. Your why will wake you up, drive your decisions and align your bold steps.

So let's begin here.....What scripture encapsulates your ‘because’/your 'why'? Do you have one? I would love to be inspired by it. Share it in the comments below with us today.

So much love for you
